Brother Dog helps you and your team not only know your impact, but multiply it through 26-weeks of online coaching (about an hour each week) and an in person advance.
Coaching Framework
Movement I: Origin Story (3 weeks)
For me, Finding TOV started by unpacking the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Why would an all loving God put that tree in the garden? Unpacking 5 Hebrew words: TOV, d’ath, yada, Ra, and miyn changes everything.
Movement II: Success (3 weeks)
High School football games taught us how to spell S-U-CC-E-SS, but how do you define it? If you don’t figure out what success is on the front end, no matter how amazing things are, you’ll be chasing it. So, this is where we start.
Movement III: See (4 weeks)
Pirates know X marks the spot; so, did Hebrew poets. The first time TOV is mentioned, is one of those X marks the spot poems. Since, the X marks “see” that’s where we start digging. First, we’ll see what is, then what can be, and finally what will be.
Movement IV: Sabbath (4 weeks)
You can’t see, really see, without sabbath. In this movement, we look at daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythms, as well as unpack four looks: Look Down, asking, “Where am I?,” Look Back, asking, “What happened?,” Look Up, asking, “What’s the bigger story?,” and Look Onward, asking, “What’s next?”
Movement V: Say (4 weeks)
What we say matters. Even more than that, our words create worlds. In this movement, we’ll explore why, and the importance of not only what we say, but also who we say it to.
Movement VI: Separate (4 weeks)
Knowing your TOV is easy, living it mean saying “no” to what it isn’t. Differentiation works best when things are divided to dance. In this movement, we explore the medial Italian concept of mandorla (it means almond) and how organizations are ultimately teams in orbit.
Movement VII: Succession (4 weeks)
Living TOV raises the standard, no matter how successful something is, there is no success without succession.
After 26 weeks of see, say, separate, you will be set up for success. You will know your TOV. Brother Dog’s online coaching will help you find TOV. Our 3 day / 2 night face-to-face advance will help you live TOV.

Team
Advance
Like the name implies, the goal of an advance is to move forward. Sharing with your immediate and extended community. Because of this, Henry will head your way. The advance is customizable, but here are some thoughts to get us going.
Friday
- Evening get together with just the team (or team families)
Saturday “One Day” Experience
- Plan to invite the immediate community. For example, a church would invite the whole congregation.
- Plan to invite the extended community. For example a church would invite leaders from 9-12 other churches (and we suggest 2-3 other denominations).
- Plan to invite your “of its kind” TOV. For example Henry invites artists and entrepreneurs.
- Generally the “One Day” from 9am-4pm
- Henry usually leads two 90-minute sessions – one opens the day, the other closes it.
- The team usually shares a “strategic plan” with the immediate community.
Sunday
- The morning is planned around your needs and Henry’s travel arrangements.
*Henry’s travel and lodging are an additional expense beyond registration.
Sr. Leader
& Spouse Sabbath
The only thing that changed our lives as much as Finding TOV was practicing Sabbath (which happens to be Movement IV of the Coaching Framework).
When an organization signs up to take two teams through the coaching framework, in addition to a monthly 1-on-1 zoom between the Sr. Leader and Henry (or a 2-on-2 Zoom between the Sr. Leader & Spouse and Henry & Tricia) they’ll have you to Columbia, Tennessee, for a 3 day / 2 night midweek Sabbath. Other than travel to and from Columbia, everything is included. We’ll work out the details when you sign up.
